Decades of concerns. Now, a real opportunity to be heard.

Dear Community Members,

We know you’ve been actively voicing your concern about DWR’s failure to fulfill its license obligations for decades, without ever feeling heard by the right people.

We have some good news. In 2020, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) established the Office of Public Participation (OPP) to

“Empower, promote, and support public voices in FERC proceedings.” The Office has assured us that public comments are an important part of the review process because they provide FERC with key information about community, local, and individual concerns, adding important context, detail, and data that can help the Commission make better decisions.”

FERC’S Office of Public Participation (OPP) confirms that public comments provide the key information that helps FERC make better decisions.

  • Anyone can submit a comment. You don’t have to be an attorney or a subject matter expert.

  • Share how this project impacts you, your community, and your future.

  • Your facts. Your stories. Your data. Make a difference.

  • Help ensure the new license delivers the public benefits promised and deserved.
